PublicationA graphical tool for the analysis of response surface experiments: a three-dimensional approach( 2007) Rodríguez-Cortés, Valerie J. ; González-Barreto, David ; College of Engineering ; Resto, Pedro ; Cesaní, Viviana ; Department of Industrial Engineering ; Ruíz, YolandaGeneral and statistical software with Design of Experiments (DOE) tools are limited in their capability of allowing the user a full control on independent factors representation. They are trustworthy on statistical analysis, but lack graphical interfaces that support DOE’s powerful capabilities. This project presents the development of a graphical user interface application that allows the user to visualize the results of a design of experiments in a 3-D display. The application was developed in Matlab 13® programming software and is capable of analyzing Full Factorial, Box-Behnken and Central Composite Designs. The application was verified against other generally available statistical software and applied to a case study of a local electronics assembly industry.
