Tres ejemplos de ello.(2014) Piedrahita-Urueña, Yuri B.; Portuondo-Duany, Raúl; College of Arts and Science - Science; López, Jóse R.; Marrero, Pablo J.; Department of Physics; Rivera-Villafañe, GriselIn this work, a methodological variation in the instruction of Physics Laboratory (Mechanics, at college level) is evaluated. During the theoretical introduction to each laboratory, appropriate topics are discussed; they are grouped in three specific areas of knowledge and skills: mathematics, physics and connections between idealized physical-mathematical models and the real world (experimentation). The objective is two fold: a) to lead the student to discover his/her difficulty areas in order to correct them, and b) to help the organization of the instructor when discussing the subject. Numerous skills were identified in every question of all evaluations and tests. They were digitally codified and introduced into a data matrix to be processed. They were correlated in different ways by statistical tests, including correlations between the Treatment Group and the Control Group, to measure and compare the different results. A diagnosis of the learning process was obtained for both groups.
