    The main objective of this research was to determine the influence of human resources administration in the performance of the organizations. The methodology used as part of this investigation was interviews and surveys. The interviews were to owners and employees of small and medium organizations located in the West side of Puerto Rico to know the perception they have about human resources administration. Also, frequency and percentage analyses were made using a representative sample of 382 questionnaires. The information collected throughout the survey has a frequency of 145 participants, meaning a 37% of the sample size total. The results obtained in the interviews, revealed that it was necessary for the organizations to consider more the human resources administration, using at least an external human resources consultant, in order to be able to establish their policies, mission, vision, and their objectives. In this way, they could be more organized and reach their organizational goals. The results gathered throughout the survey, revealed that the human resources administration was very necessary too for the owners and the employees, because the majority answered they used to have situations were they need an advice from human resources professionals.
