Análisis no lineal tridimensional estático y dinámico de pórticos de hormigón armado con deficiencia en el hormigón de columnas
(2015-07) Rodríguez-Vargas, Juan A.; López-Rodríguez, Ricardo R.; College of Engineering; Suarez Colche, Luis E.; Guevara Guillen, José O.; Department of Civil Engineering; Gilbes Santaella, Fernando
This work consisted in developing and programming a three dimensional non-linear analysis model for reinforced concrete structures using the incremental method for the application of loads or displacements and the Newmark Beta method for the application of seismic accelerations on the base using two horizontal directions and the vertical component. One component elements with rotational springs in both directions were used for modelling inelastic behavior in flexure, with the Takeda hysteretic model. The P-Delta effect was considered and internal forces were compared with the capacities for each increment for the possible elimination of the stiffness of the elements. The model was used for the study of global behavior of frame structures with deficiencies in the concrete of the columns. Deficiencies were defined by means of a decrease in their compression capacity. Three cases of magnitude of deficiency and ten localization cases were considered, completing one hundred and two (102) analysis on thirty (30) case studies showing the effects of these deficiencies in the structure by means of static and dynamic analysis. Structures with a significant number of affected columns showed a competent performance against static lateral loads. The application of earthquake El Centro of 1940 in its three directions caused the collapse of the majority of the structures with deficiency.
