    Strategic planning is an essential tool to increase the success of an organization. From the formulation of the mission and vision, to the definition, deployment, and monitoring of the established strategies, key metrics are required to measure progress. This thesis presents a methodology for the deployment of the strategic plan in an educational institution. This methodology presents a procedure to identify the critical processes of the organization, and to select a set of metrics which are monitored through time, establishing action plans for correctives action in those processes that require intervention. This set of metrics focuses on the strategic core of the institution to achieve success in the main objectives. This methodology required the construction of a web based application following the user centered design methodology, which combine web page design with database design and management. User training and web page implementation at the College on Engineering are important activities of the methodology. Results included graphics accessible through internet to monitor metrics behavior through time and defining action plans that allow academic administrator from the College to make decisions to achieve success. This methodology allows the centralization of efforts for the institution’s continuous improvement, achieving unity in those involved in the process and creating a sense of belonging towards the institution.
