    Design of a reconfiguration controller for a dc zonal distribution system

    The use of DC Zonal System (DCZEDS) is evaluated as a potential simulation testbed for self-reconfigurable control research in electric power distribution systems. The DCZEDS is a SIMULINKTM implementation of a Ship DC distribution system. Our review shows that the testbed is relevant with potential applications to ship and other electric power distribution systems. Sample simulation results are presented under normal and faulty conditions. Some limitations in the SIMULINKTM model are pointed out. Future research directions are discussed.
