Satisfacción laboral en la profesión de enfermería en un hospital del suroeste de Puerto Rico

The main objective of this investigation was to identify the factors that affect labor satisfaction at a health institution of the southwest region of Puerto Rico. A questionnaire was created to obtain nursing professionals opinions. The data collected was analyzed and compared to demographics such as genre, years into the profession and years worked at the hospital. The investigations results were also compared to other investigations made in the past. Some findings from the statistical analysis of the study reflected that the economic aspect was not the main satisfaction element, but the labor recognition made by the health institution. This investigation contributes to generate conclusions and helps in making recommendations towards the health institution analyzed as well as other investigations.
