The purpose of this study was to describe the alumni population from the College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS), Mayagüez Campus who graduate during the years of 1990 to 2000, and to evaluate their academic experience related to academic quality during their undergraduate years. For this purpose, representative random samples of each department were taken. The alumni were surveyed by mail or electronic mail (N=160). The alumni consider the academic quality of their undergraduate’s studies in the CAS to be acceptable and report high satisfaction with their professions. However, the majority are dissatisfied with the work opportunities for professionals in Agricultural Sciences. According to results, the quality of teaching experience during their years was good. The survey participants consider the counseling received in elective free and professional courses to be of average quality. It is important to establish a follow up system for college alumni to learn about the perception of academic quality and identify possible areas for improvement.
