It considered the influence of animations such as Disney productions in English on the linguistic development of the children from the ages of 3 to 4 years-of-age. Its main purpose was to document and analyze the possible linguistic benefits of children’s exposition to Disney musical animations from a young age. The study consisted of four individual case studies composed of parents and children that were exposed to the Disney animated films in the English language. The cases were divided into two categories. These were a household in which the parents identified as with bilingual individual and three households in which parent’s reported Spanish as the main language spoken. The data collection process was done through interviews with the parents and observations of the children while they engaged with the films. Once the data was analyzed, it was found that the participantwith the most exposed to the animations acquired a bigger number of lexical items, in comparison to the rest of the participants. Additionally, each parent was aware that their children’s learning of the language through the exposition of these films would help their children be more prepared for their formal instruction of English. The findings from this study can be beneficial to parents, children, and educators searching for strategies to facilitatechildren’s language learning processes.
