Publication Relación de la fatiga muscular con la precisión del tiro a la portería en balompié femenino(2020-12-08) Ramírez Aponte, Jorge J.; Silva, Manuel; College of Arts and Sciences - Art; Soltero-Flores, Eduardo; Rodríguez, Diana; Department of Kinesiology; Zapata Medina, RocíoIn football as in many other sports, muscle fatigue is a factor that has drawn the attention of several researchers to try to determine both its effect on performance and execution of the technical part of the sport. This study was carried out with the purpose of determining if muscle fatigue influences the precision when taking a shot on the ground or in the air. Ten women between 20 and 24 years of age participated. Each participant made a total of six shots that were divided into two pre-fatigue shots, two fatigue-induced shots using a cycle ergometer, and two fatigue-induced shots using vertical jumps. The results in this study clearly show that fatigue has a negative effect in terms of accuracy in shooting at goal, both on the floor and in the air. There was no significant difference in the floor throw between the pre-fatigue and the fatigue phase using the cycle ergometer (p = 0.052) or between the pre-fatigue and the fatigue phase using the vertical jumps (p = 0.52). Regarding the results of the t-test of the air shot, these show a significant difference level both in the comparison between the pre-fatigue and the fatigue phase using a cycle ergometer (p = 0.028) as well as between the pre-fatigue with the fatigue phase through vertical jumps (p = 0.001).
