Publication Utilización de la finca laboratorio escolar como estrategia de integración instruccional por los maestros de ciencia de la región educativa de Mayagüez(2007) Maury-Salas, Juan J.; Villamil-Freytes, José A.; College of Agricultural Sciences; Padilla Vélez, David; Santiago Andino, Edly; Department of Agricultural Education; Valencia, ElideThis descriptive-correlational study had the purpose of determine and describe the knowledge, perception and disposition of science teachers of second unit schools of the Mayagüez School Region were the Program of Agricultural Education is active, related to the use of the school farm as an instructional way. Twelve of sixteen science teacher answered the instrument (questionnaire). Results were analyzed and interpreted, finding that the majority of the participants disagreed (perception) with the majority of the variables related to the integration of the school farm and agreed that it is not for lack of motivation. Moreover, they were completely agree in using the agricultural education teacher as resource because they describe themselves as having regular knowledge about the school farm. When perception, knowledge and disposition where correlated it was found a moderate correlation. It is recommended to reciprocate this study in other educational regions.
