The main objective is to develop a conceptual model focused on the environmental aspect of the sustainability concept for an electronic components manufacturer located in Puerto Rico. The following steps were followed: 1) informal interviews with management personnel expert on policies and processes related to the company’s supply chain and environmental, health, and safety, 2) conduct a survey to determine the existence of policies and their knowledge by the personnel responsible for the execution of such policies, and 3) the use of sustainable supply chain models to develop the conceptual model for the company and offer suggestions and recommendations. The scope of the project did not consider the economic analysis for feasibility purposes as the management of the company will be responsible for this aspect of the study.
