The Euler-Poisson-Darboux equation is a reversible singular partial differential equation, which includes a free parameter k. We take a noisy image as initial data and consider the initial value problem associated for the special case k = 1. Solutions for the Euler-Poisson-Darboux equation are given in the whole space. We discuss the solution for certain values of k and analyze its uniqueness. We also study the case of a bounded domain with periodic boundary conditions.
