Percepción de los Profesores de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrícolas sobre la Utilización de las Tecnologías de Información como Medio para el Mejoramiento del Proceso de Enseñanza-Aprendizaje

The purpose of this descriptive-correlation investigation was to describe the perception that professors of the Faculty of Agricultural Science have about the utilization of technology in the teaching-learning process. A questionnaire was designed and directed to professors of the Faculty of Agricultural of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. After the administration of the questionnaire, 76% of the professors of the faculty of Agriculture Science replied that they totally agree that the technologies help in the teaching-learning process. 96% of the participants also informed that they possess the skills to navigate on internet. According to the study, the professors informed that they still need more training on the following technologies of information: computers, internet, e-mail, digital videos, digital projectors, slide projectors and digital cameras.
