This work focuses on the operations management side of a company that manufactures electrical and fiber optic connectors, and sensors. The company is constantly evaluating its processes to improve productivity and reduce operational costs. This imposes the urgent need to develop a computerized tool that allows for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and control of these projects. To achieve this task, a needs assessment of the plant, finance and engineering managers was performed in order to understand the processes related to the management and control of productivity projects. Based on these requirements, a prototype tool was presented and adjusted in real time according to the necessities of its future users. Once approved, the computerized system was designed, developed and implemented. Lastly, a training was performed and system manual was provided to each user.
