Destrezas del extensionista para promover la relación de trabajo adulto-joven en la promoción del desarrollo positivo del socio 4-H

This quantitative study sought to identify strategies to describe and, measure the impact that Positive 4-H Youth Development has on youth. The analysis aims to identify the skills of the Extensionist participating in this study, to promote the Adult-Youth Relationship in the Promotion of Positive Development of the 4-H partner. A sample of 41 Extensionists who had a percentage of their plan of work assigned to the Youth and 4-H Clubs program during the 2019-2020 fiscal year was used through the different regions of the Agricultural Extension Service of Puerto Rico. Participants completed a questionnaire that reveals that most of them have “very good” or “adequate” skills to promote the adult-youth relationship and to promote the positive development of the 4-H youth. The Extensionists demonstrated the promotion of the adult-youth relationship due their skills, areas of development in the program and their availability to expand and be trained on it.
