    The increase of exceptional children in the classroom has generated preoccupation with respect to the capacity of the teacher of Agricultural Education. This descriptive - correlacional study described the capacities demonstrated by teachers of Agricultural Education (AGED) of the Mayagüez, Ponce and San Germán Regions in the special education area to attend the registered exceptional students in the agricultural courses. The study designed a survey directed of the Agricultural Education teachers (N=47). The study demonstrated that majority of the AGED teacher have not participated in the following: Special Education courses, workshops and trainings. In addition, the majority of the teachers are interested in maintaining themselves informed on laws that benefit the exceptional student. Also, the more special education courses that teachers takes the greater the degree of safety that can be offered in agriculture classes. On the other hand, a positive strong relationship exists between the effective use of the components of the program for AGED’s teacher and the exceptional students’ participation of the program.
