dc.description.abstractThe main objective of this investigation was to identify the factors that affect labor satisfaction at a health institution of the southwest region of Puerto Rico. A questionnaire was created to obtain nursing professionals opinions. The data collected was analyzed and compared to demographics such as genre, years into the profession and years worked at the hospital. The investigations results were also compared to other investigations made in the past. Some findings from the statistical analysis of the study reflected that the economic aspect was not the main satisfaction element, but the labor recognition made by the health institution. This investigation contributes to generate conclusions and helps in making recommendations towards the health institution analyzed as well as other investigations.
dc.description.abstractEsta investigación tuvo como objetivo principal el identificar aquellos factores que afectan la satisfacción laboral del profesional de enfermería de un hospital del área Suroeste de Puerto Rico. Para lograr este objetivo, se creó un cuestionario para obtener la opinión del profesional de enfermería. Los datos recopilados fueron analizados con el fin de realizar comparaciones a base de los datos demográficos: género, años en la profesión y años trabajando en la institución. Los resultados de esta investigación también fueron comparados con los resultados de otras investigaciones. Entre los resultados del análisis estadístico se encontró que el aspecto económico no es el principal en la satisfacción del personal de enfermería, sino el reconocimiento laboral por parte de la institución. Este análisis aportó en la creación de conclusiones y ayudó a delinear recomendaciones para la institución analizada para futuros investigadores.
