dc.description.abstractEl sistema de Stokes describe un modelo aproximado para °ujo de °uido viscoso. Sabemos que una solución puede ser expresada explicitamente sólo en casos particulares. Por tanto, es necesario calcular numéricamente otras soluciones. Nosotros implementamos en este trabajo el Método de Elemento Finito para solucionar el sistema de Stokes, usando elementos Taylor-Hood para discretizar el dominio.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe Stokes system describes an approximate model for viscous °uid °ow. We know closed-form solutions only in particular cases. Consequently, it is necessary to compute other solutions numerically. We implement in this work a ¯nite element method to solve the Stokes system, using Taylor-Hood elements to discretize the domain.en_US
