Abstract
This work is focused in the study of the structural property of modularity in complex networks that arise when the pollination events are modeled using a thick dispersal kernel. The values of modularity are obtained from differents networks whose nodes have two differents spatial configurations. These values of the modularity are used to understand some aspects about the genetic flow in a population of trees and how are the interactions in mating terms between individuals of the population. In addtion, this information about the modularity of the mating networks is important because it allows to know about some ecological and biological aspects that occur inside the population of trees. This knowledge can be used as foundation for the management of the conservation of the species at risk of extinction.
