SQL based development for the management of FMEA and FMECA files

This work presents the implementation of a system to improve the availability of excel based data specifically the FMEA and FMECA data used by the US Army RAM Engineering and System Assessment group by creating a web based solution. The web based solution includes a database design with tables to store the FMEA and FMECA information, a C# application used to read and insert into the database the FMEA and FMECA excel based information, an ASP.NET web application for displaying the FMEA and FMECA information and a group of reports integrated into the web applications created to provide exporting options to Excel and PDF. This work also presents the results of the verification of the use of the Visual Basic included in Excel (Visual Basic for Applications) to access the FMEA and FMECA information from the database and write it directly into the excel sheet.
