For this reason, two questionnaires were applied according to the type of sample and each one was directed to evaluate the necessary facts for the development of the economy’s nation that some ways influence the process of importation. The results came from the opinions of the U.S Customs Brokers and Carriers, concluded that the cargo and product importations must be seen as a process in which a lot of organizations participate, each one with different objectives. Also, exists a strong influence of external factors like security policy of American nation, among others. On the other hand, and results from, the local government don’t provide the necessary infrastructure to improve the operating conditions of the local business together the market conditions that favor the importation of the biggest part of the products and raw materials that are consumed in Puerto Rico.
