    Design of a programmable and modular analog fuzzy controller

    Design techniques for analog fuzzy integrated circuits (ICs) and control implementations are used to develop a programmable and modular analog fuzzy controller. It improves flexibility and accuracy of analog fuzzy systems and makes them suitable for diverse applications. Programmability of the gaussian-type function fuzzifier as well as current mode designs both for an n-input \minimum extracting" circuit with 4n+1 transistors and for an analog multiplier-divider circuit based on operational transconductance amplifiers are presented. The designed circuitry consists solely of Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (MOS) transistors compatible with standard Complementary-Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) fabrication processes of the MOSIS company.
