dc.description.abstract Ismael talks about his journey with agroecology after taking a course with El Josco Bravo. He highlights key issues with industrialized agriculture and its agroecological alternatives and talks about the importance of teaching the youth about agriculture and its ties to food security. He also discusses his family’s history with agriculture. His great grandmother worked the land to raise seven daughters after becoming widowed. Being in touch with agriculture and agroecology has allowed Ismael to share a common bond with some of his relatives. It’s also helped him relate the principles he’s learned about agroecology now, to old traditional agricultural practices that his great grandparents used.
dc.description.abstract Ismael habla de su experiencia con la agroecología después de tomar un curso con El Josco Bravo. Destaca temas clave relacionados a la agricultura industrializada y las alternativas agroecológicas, y habla de la importancia de educar a los jóvenes sobre la agricultura y sus vínculos con la seguridad alimentaria. También habla sobre la historia de su familia con la agricultura. Su bisabuela trabajó la tierra para criar a siete hijas después de enviudar. Estar en contacto con la agricultura y la agroecología le ha permitido a Ismael compartir un vínculo común con algunos de sus familiares. También lo ha ayudado a relacionar los principios que ha aprendido sobre agroecología con las antiguas prácticas agrícolas tradicionales que usaban sus bisabuelos. es
