dc.description.abstract | Peter Torres was born to Cuban parents in Miami, Florida, and later moved to Puerto Rico with his family. He was educated in Catholic schools and eventually attended Loyola University in New Orleans. After graduating, he joined the National Guard and later pursued a career in mortgage banking. Peter's upbringing in Puerto Rico was filled with family traditions and delicious meals cooked by his grandmother. Going grocery shopping at a nearby agrocenter was an adventure, where live animals roamed freely and livestock were sold in the butcher's shop. Peter talks about his early childhood and, growing up in Puerto Rico. | en |
dc.description.abstract | Peter Torres nació de padres cubanos en Miami, Florida, y luego se mudó con su familia a Puerto Rico, donde creció rodeado de una rica herencia cultural. Recibió su educación en escuelas católicas y luego asistió a la Universidad Loyola en Nueva Orleans. Después de graduarse, se unió a la Guardia Nacional y luego emprendió una exitosa carrera en banca hipotecaria. Creciendo en Puerto Rico, Peter estuvo inmerso en las tradiciones familiares y tuvo el placer de disfrutar de muchas comidas deliciosas preparadas por su abuela. Sus visitas al agrocentro local siempre fueron una aventura, con animales vivos vagando libremente y una gran cantidad de productos frescos en oferta.
